Histoire : Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla (7 mars 149 &#8211; 182), dite Lucilla (ou Lucille), est la seconde fille de l&rsquo;empereur Marc Aurèle et de Faustine la Jeune. Épouse de Lucius Verus, co-empereur et frère adoptif de Marc Aurèle, elle est la sour aînée du futur empereur Commode. Impliquée dans un complot et une tentative d&rsquo;assassinat contre Commode, elle est exécutée vers 182, à environ 33 ans. <br/>

En 27 av J-C, il remet symboliquement ses pouvoirs au Sénat et reçoit le titre d&rsquo;Auguste, marquant la naissance du principat, nouveau régime politique. Durant les quarante années suivantes, il structure et consolide l&rsquo;Empire sur les plans politique, économique et culturel. Il est secondé par Agrippa, son gendre, puis par Drusus et Tibère, fils de son épouse Livie. Auguste fixe les frontières de l&rsquo;Empire sur le Rhin et le Danube, malgré le désastre de Varus en 9 ap J-C, et conclut une paix symbolique avec les Parthes en récupérant les enseignes perdues à Carrhæ. Il réorganise les provinces, garde l&rsquo;Égypte sous son contrôle, et prépare activement sa succession. Après la mort d&rsquo;Agrippa, de Drusus, et de ses deux petits-fils, il désigne finalement Tibère comme héritier.
